Food from Britain (FFB), the market development consultancy for British food and drink companies, has promoted Jane Wakeling to Head of Client Development and appointed Kirsty Grieve as Regional Food and Drink Manager. Grieve will now be responsible for continuing Wakeling’s work to drive FFB’s campaign to promote the UK’s regional food and drink industry. This programme has recently received funding for a further two years, made possible by an additional £2 million from Defra.
Wakeling was eager to become involved in the export side of the business and now leads the organisation’s consulting. She will have responsibility for providing FFB clients with strategic and practical support to help ensure that the companies gain maximum benefit from the services offered by the Food from Britain international network. Jane led FFB’s regional support programme over the last two years, but she will now report to Simon Waring, Marketing and International Management Director.
Grieve will take responsibility for developing and implementing the Food from Britain strategy to achieve Government growth targets for regional food and drink producers. She reports directly to Charlotte Lawson, Director of UK and Business Services at FFB. Joining from Sainsbury?s where Grieve was latterly a product developer for dairy and bakery, her role will involve working closely with regional food and drink producers, as well as other key organisations such as English Wine Producers, VisitBritain and the Guild of Fine Food Retailers. Like Grieve, Wakeling also arrived at FFB from Sainsburys.
