David Wilson has formally taken the reins as Managing Director of Food from Britain (FFB) North America and is already implementing exciting plans to build on the excellent work undertaken by his predecessor Steve Dawson.
David has joined FFB from Premier Foods, Marlow Foods Quorn brand division, where he was the General Manager of the US business, having been a board member of Marlow Foods for more than 11 years as the Marketing and International Brand Director. He has extensive international marketing and general management experience, acquired at Marlow Foods and United Biscuits.
FFB has done a tremendous job in helping British food and drink companies enter the US or Canadian market and establish brand reputations over here, said David. As such, my primary aim will be to provide a continuity of service to our clients, building on the platform established by Steve and his team.
Im also looking to develop the service we offer by expanding our team of knowledgeable and dedicated experts. This will allow us to provide more structured and detailed business planning, offer legal, technical and financial advice, and play a greater role in supply chain planning for our clients.
The North American market offers so much opportunity to British manufacturers. More than 300 million people live in America alone one million of which are British. This makes it a market almost as large as the entire EU, and one that is very receptive to all things British.
Im tremendously excited to be in a position to promote British food in North America, and Im looking forward to building long-term working relationships with new and existing clients.
